Illinois Computing Educators

2010: A Learning Odyssey

Charlene Chausis

Workshop weekend.... thanks Sharon Sossin and Pat Duggan!

I am just one of many Illinois Computing Educators working this weekend to prepare for the best conference in Illinois. I'm ready to go with my Tuesday workshop, "Focus on Educational Moments," which will be co-presented by my co-worker, Sharon Sossin. Unfortunately Sharon's name was not included in the program, so we have to be sure she gets the recognition she deserves! Sharon's work with Special Education students, along with her enthusiasm and endless ideas, bring an added bonus to this workshop. Our attendees are sure to have a fun-filled and very active day!!

On Thursday, Pat Duggan from Maine Twp. H.S. South joins me as co-presenter for "21st Century Staff Development: Recipes for Adult Learners," a workshop that was spawned as a result of our breakout session last year. Pat will be certain to inspire our attendees, as she brings much experience from her efforts to establish professional learning communities for the adult learners in her district.

Our resources can be located on my website: http://homepage.mac.com/charlenechausis/

See you all soon!

Great!! Well there are really instances like this, which those deserving were not being recognized with their great accomplishments. But this is not more important as long there are people that knows your ability and trusting you. This would be a great honor you can have. But doing crimes like the robbers in Illinois cause shame to their lives, Bonnie and Clyde, John Dillinger, Baby Face Nelson, the list goes on of famous robbers that stole during hard times. The current recession has been no exception, except that the trend is to target payday loan stores instead of banks. The latest spree has police in Illinois looking for suspects. The Illinois robbers, both around 5'8" and 120 to 130 lbs, bound employees and made off with the register. Iowa, Kansas, Indiana, and now Illinois are home to payday loan stores hit by Robbery.
