Illinois Computing Educators

2010: A Learning Odyssey

Hi All -

We're trying to figure the best way for presenters to post their handouts, and I thought perhaps I should elaborate on the directions.

All handouts will be posted and/or linked to in a forum post under the category 2008 General Sessions. Lucy and Luke will maintain this post.

There is a tab just for forum posts categorized 2008 General Sessions. Click on the tab under the banner entitled Sessions to see this.

1. The easiest and most basic way is to send your materials (links and/or documents) to Luke Allen tech.luke@gmail.com

If you would like to do this yourself, there are two ways
.

2. Make a blog post on your personal page (see the My Page tab under the banner) and upload documents or link to a web site. Make sure, however, that you let Luke know this so he can link to your personal page on this ning.

3. Make a forum post including your presentation information and use the the pulldown menu to select 2008 General Sessions. This will automatically cause your post to appear in the Sessions tab below the ICE banner. If you do not select a category, it makes it difficult for people to find your post.

4. One last tip: Make sure you TAG blog posts or forum posts with keywords that will help people find your stuff if they are searching the Ning. Tags should be a series of single words; use an underscore to substitute for a space if needed. The more tags, the better able people are to find your infomation.

Example tags: technology, Illinois_Computing_Educators, k12, administrators, math

Let us know if you have any feedback or questions!
