Improving the "Blogger's Cafe" for the 2009 conference....

Hey everyone... I hope your school year is off to a good start. The ICE Conference committee is taking a closer look at how we can improve the "Blogger's Cafe". I am looking for interesting and creative ideas from you all to help reflect our wishes to improve our cafe.

One quick idea to get thinking about was that I would like to promote attendees who blog on a regular basis. I was thinking about having times for a pseudo "book signing" type of meet-up. Attendees to the conference can nominate Bloggers. We would then ask those Bloggers to pick a 15 minute slot (time open for discussion) for them to be in the "Blogger's Cafe" to have people specifically meet these people in person in an open question atmosphere. The blog can be put up on a projected screen to give some thoughts on why they blog and their blog's purpose, etc. They could talk about the myriad of issues relating to blogging from setup to purpose, etc. We would ask the "blogger" to post a quick blurb on their blogs and then the "audience" could post some comments right there in the audience.

Please give me feedback on any ideas for improving the "Bloggers Cafe" and my specific "book signing" idea as well.
